Leaderboard

The leaderboard is the bay's banzuke — the ranking board that says who is furthest along, skill by skill. Open it from Leaderboard in the village menu. Like achievements, it hands out no rewards at all: it is there to be climbed, and to give you someone to chase.

Nineteen boards

There is one board per skill — all eighteen of them, gathering, processing and combat alike — plus one for total level, the sum of your levels across every skill. Pick a board from the row of crests at the top; the three lanterns hanging over the pier are the current top three, the biggest and brightest being rank 1.

How ranks are decided

Every board is sorted by lifetime XP in that skill, highest first — not by level. Level is what the board shows, but XP is what it counts, and that matters in two places:

• Ties break cleanly. Two divers at level 62 are not equal: the one with more XP in the skill stands higher.
• The climb continues past 99. Reaching the level cap does not park you. XP keeps banking, so the level-99 masters keep sorting among themselves — the deepest board positions are held by people who never stopped swinging.

The total level board is the one exception: there the total level itself decides the order — it is what the board is named after — and your combined XP across all skills breaks ties. A broad, even diver and a single-skill specialist can meet at the same total level and still be separated fairly.

What you can see

• The top 100 of each board, with character name, level and XP. Every name links to that player's profile.
• Your own row, always — pinned at the bottom of the board even when your rank is far past 100, with a bar showing how much XP is left to your next level. If you have not earned any XP in that skill yet, the board simply says so; start the skill and you'll appear at the next refresh.

Freshness and quiet divers

The boards are recomputed every few minutes, not the instant you bank a repetition, and the board header tells you how long ago it last updated. If your new level has not shown up yet, wait a moment and come back.

Divers who have not been seen for 30 days drop off the boards. Nothing is lost — log back in and your rank returns with the next refresh — but it keeps the ranking a picture of the bay as it is today rather than a museum.
